Camphill Medical Practice charity fundraising challenge

The Friends of Camphill Medical Practice are organising a fundraising evening for the charitable work of Camphill Medical Practice on Friday, April 23, from 7pm to 10pm at The Hub in Cults, Aberdeen.

Tickets for the event cost £7 and can be bought at the Blue Door Charity Shop on North Deeside Road in Bieldside, or at Camphill Medical Practice. All proceeds will go to the practice’s therapy fund.

Camphill Medical Practice

The Camphill Medical Practice, located on the Murtle campus of Camphill School Aberdeen, provides a full range of NHS primary care services for the local community, along with the intensive professional care required by the children and adults in Camphill Aberdeen City and Shire communities.

In addition, the practice’s charity arm provides medical and therapeutic services focussing on developmental problems, learning disabilities, mental health issues, long-term illness and cancer.

The fundraising event will feature local entertainment and a cold buffet will be served. Attendees are invited to take their own drinks. The entertainment will include music, singing and tap dance. Further information is available from Kristina at Camphill Medical Practice on 01224 869833.

The Hub is at Cults Parish Church, 404 North Deeside Road, Cults, Aberdeen AB15 9TD

Camphill Aberdeen City and Shire represents the shared interests of seven Camphill charities in the Aberdeen area.

The Camphill pioneers likened their first community in Aberdeen to lighting a candle on the hill.

Now that candle spreads its light widely.

More than 700 people live and work in Camphill Aberdeen City and Shire communities, offering education, therapies, training, work and living opportunities for vulnerable children, young people, adults and the elderly.

Internationally the Camphill Movement extends to more than 100 centres in 23 countries.
